Eleanor Marx Aveling
Eleanor Marx Aveling (16 January 1855 – 31 March 1898), also known as Jenny Julia Eleanor “Tussy” Marx, was the English-born youngest daughter of Karl Marx and his wife Jenny von Westphalen. She was herself a socialist activist, who sometimes worked as a literary translator. She translated various literary works, including the first English translation of Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary.
In March 1898, after discovering that her partner and prominent(very well known and important) British Marxist(a supporter of Marxism), Edward Aveling, had secretly married a young actress in June the previous year, she committed(to do something illegal or something that is considered wrong) suicide(the act of killing yourself intentionally) by poison. She was 43.
