伊索寓言精读系列（一）

城里老鼠和乡下老鼠

这是一个中译版本：
有一天，一只城里老鼠遇到了一只乡下老鼠，他们交上了朋友，从此开始了相互往来。首先是乡下老鼠邀请城里老鼠到家里来做客，城里老鼠很高兴地答应了。
乡下老鼠拿出从田地里采来的玉米、花生和白薯、酸枣招待城里老鼠。城里老鼠一看，有点瞧不起乡下老鼠：“这些东西太平常了！你难道就没有一些贵点儿的食物吗？你生活的太贫穷了。哪天你跟我到城里，我让你开开眼界，看看我们吃得是什么，那简直丰富极了！”
乡下老鼠非常羡慕地望着城里老鼠，心里十分盼望早一天到城里去做客。

这一天，乡下老鼠进了城，到了城里老鼠家里。怎么？饭桌上什么东西都没有啊？城里老鼠看出乡下老鼠心里的疑问，就告诉他：吃得东西到晚上就会有的。夜晚很快来了，乡下老鼠跟着城里老鼠悄悄溜进主人的厨房，哇！这里的食品真多呀！各种蔬菜、水果、面包、香肠、奶酪、黄油……让人看得口水都流出来了。乡下老鼠和城里老鼠不客气地吃起来。
正吃得开心，突然听到有脚步声，“不好！主人来了，快跑。”城里老鼠一把抓住乡下老鼠钻回了洞里。
乡下老鼠吓得心脏怦怦地跳个不停，刚吃下的东西差点吐了出来，“老兄，你过的是什么日子呀？虽然有那么多好吃的东西，可是总是提心吊胆的，这种生活我可受不了。我还是喜欢我们乡下自由自在的生活。”说完，乡下老鼠告辞回家去了。
外研社的英文少儿版，设计了生动的对话，还增加了猫狗巡视的情节，推荐听。
一个英译版本：
Once there were two mice. They were friends. One mouse lived in 
the country; the other mouse lived in the city.
After many years the Country mouse saw the City mouse; he said, “Do come and see me at my house in the country.” So the City mouse went. The City mouse said, “This food is not good, and your house is not good. Why do you live in a hole in the field? You should come and live in the city. You would live in a nice house made of stone. You would have nice food to eat. You must come and see me at my house in the city.” 
The Country mouse went to the house of the City mouse. It was a very good house. Nice food was set ready for them to eat. But just as they began to eat they heard a great noise.
The City mouse cried, “ Run! Run! The cat is coming!” They ran away quickly and hid. 
After some time they came out. When they came out, the Country mouse said, “I do not like living in the city. I like living in my hole in the field. For it is nicer to be poor and happy, than to be rich and afraid.”
Another one:
Country Mouse and Town Mouse
Country Mouse and Town Mouse are friends. One day Country Mouse invites Town Mouse to his house.
“Welcome! Wasn’t it troublesome to come such a long way?”
Country Mouse welcomes Town Mouse with pleasure.
And he spread the table with sweet potatoes, peas and corns he grow with great care.
“There is not much to eat but enjoy the meal.”
“Oh? What are these? I can’t eat this kind of food. How can you eat such tasteless food?”
“Well…Is that so?”
“Also, look at your house. How can you live in such a shabby place?”
“Yes…But I am used to this place. I feel very comfortable here.”
“Well,well~! You’ve never seen a big town before, have you? Well, why don’t you come with me to my town tomorrow morning? I’ll treat you to delicious food at my house.”
So Country Mouse followed Town Mouse to the town. To Country Mouse, the Town looks so big.
Country Mouse is amazed by the grand view of the town.
Then there were plenty of mouth-watering, delicious food on the table.
“Wow! It looks great!”
“Hahaha~! I eat this kind of food every day. Well, You must be hungry. Help Yourself.”
“I really envy you!”
The moment when Country Mouse was about to eat a delicious chicken leg, the door suddenly opened and a woman came into the room.
“Look at these mice~! If I catch you, you’ve dead.”
She shouted and threw a lid of a pot at them.
“Oh, God save us,please!”
“Ah~ah~”
Town Mouse and Country Mouse ran away as fast as they could.
“Let’s hide somewhere quickly. Hurry up!”
“Ye…yeah~! Ah ah~~!”
Town Mouse and Country Mouse ran into a small hole in the wall.
“Well, what’s going on? Do you always live like this?”
“Umm…Well, it happens sometimes. We have to go through such things to live and eat delicious food in a big town.”
“Is delicious food that important? I’d rather live in peace. I am so scared. I could be killed anytime. I will go back to my peaceful house although it is humble and shabby.”
“Alright. I am so sorry to put you in such danger.”
“That’s okay. Please take care of yourself.”
“Good Bye.”
In the end, Country Mouse decided to go back to his peaceful home.
He no longer envied Town Mouse for all that he had and all that he feared.
这个版本的翻译很棒，至于这是不是伊索寓言（我在），已经不重要了。在我购买的译林双语版中，没找到这个故事。

狐狸和山羊

中文版：

狐狸掉入井内，再也爬不上来，只得呆在那儿。此时一只公山羊觉得口渴，也来到井边，看见了狐狸，便问他井水好不好喝。
狐狸摆出一副临危不惧的神态，啧啧称道井水如何好喝，如何甘美可口。山羊一心只想解渴，不假思索就跳下井去。等他解完渴，就问狐狸从井里再爬上去，用什么办法最有效。
狐狸回答说：“嗯，我倒有个绝妙的办法。不过这需要我俩彼此配合才行。要是你用前蹄扒在井壁上，尽量抬高你的犄角，我便可以由此爬上你的后背跳出井外，再把你拉上去。”
山羊对这个办法表示欣然同意，于是狐狸便动作利索地爬上他的双腿，踩着他的肩膀，跳上他的犄角，然后扒着井口，好不容易总算爬了上去，一出井外，拔腿就走。山羊急得直嚷嚷，责备狐狸背弃了互助协定。狐狸回到井边，朝着井下的山羊喊道：“哈！你的心眼倘若和你下巴上的胡子一样多，也不会事先没想好退路就跳下去了。”
由此可见，明者宜见危于未萌，三思而后行。
English version:
A fox, having fallen into a well, was faced with the prospect of being stuck there. But then a billy-goat came along to that same well because he was thirsty and saw the fox. He asked him if the water was good.
The fox decided to put a brave face on it and gave a tremendous speech about how wonderful the water was down there, so very excellent. So the billy-goat climbed down the well, thinking only of his thirst. When he had had a good drink, he asked the fox what he thought was the best way to get back up again.
The fox said:
‘Well, I have a very good way to do that. Of course, it will mean our working together. If you just push your front feet up against the wall and hold your horns up in the air as high as you can, I will climb up on to them, get out, and then I can pull you up behind me.’
The billy-goat willingly consented to this idea, and the fox briskly clambered up the legs, the shoulders, and finally the horns of his companion. He found himself at the mouth of the well, pulled himself out, and immediately scampered off. The billy-goat shouted after him, reproaching him for breaking their agreement of mutual assistance. The fox came back to the top of the well and shouted down to the billy-goat:
‘Ha! If you had as many brains as you have hairs on your chin, you wouldn’t have got down there in the first place without thinking of how you were going to get out again.’
It is thus that sensible men should not undertake any action without having first examined the end result.
这个版本的寓意偏重突出山羊的短视，对成人的教育意义更大。外研社偏重幼儿教育，因此突出了狐狸的狡猾，意在提醒孩子们不要轻信坏人。
